What is bacteriostatic water?
Sterile water with 0.9% benzyl alcohol added as a preservative. The preservative inhibits bacterial growth across repeated access to the same vial.
How is it different from plain sterile water?
Plain sterile water is intended for a single draw. Bacteriostatic water is formulated to stay sterile through multiple draws over its labeled use period.
How should I store it?
Unopened, keep it at room temperature and away from light. After first use, follow the timeframe listed on your batch documentation.
Do you provide testing documentation?
Yes. Batch reports are on the Testing page. If your lot number isn't listed there, contact us and we'll send the matching report.
What sizes are available?
